Hello VJ members

My husband is a permanent resident here in Philippines by marriage from his previous Filipina wife. His 5 years permanent resident card expired just after they divorce. But what he did is he renew it again thru agency. So his permanent residency here is by marriage from his previous wife. Were 1 year marriage only and living here at PH for 9 months, we got married outside the country. We have plan of filing I-130 DCF.

But I am worried about his permanent resident card from previous marriage. Thinking that he might get trouble with that at Immigration here or at US embassy. Hope you guys can advice me what is the right thing to do. Filing DCF or file petition at USA?

It doesn't matter how he got permanent residency, just that he has it.

The only issue I could see if he stated at some stage that he is still married to her, while he was already married to you.
