Kiev to Chicago by way of Warsaw

Hi,

My fiancee will be coming to Chicago and I am wondering if she will be required to get a airport transit visa to pass through to Chicago from Warsaw. I'd like to do it this way as it is the cheapest way, but won't if we have to go through this. I like to do quickly before the seasonal increase in airfares.
