I just checked on the Australian US Embassy website and it says that the petitioner can come to the interview.

But is it beneficial for her to come? Or will it just invite more questions at the interview?

Would like to hear experience of other Australian's who brought their fiance with them.

I went with my spouse to our CR01 interview. Everyone was lovely. It gives your relationship credibility if both of you attend. I urge you to go. You'll have a good time.

PS - you have to write the consulate and get permission for her to go. They'll give you permission in an email. Be sure you have a copy of that email on the day of the interview.

PPS - no restrooms once you pass security. Go to the waiting area and look for the steps heading down one floor - that's where the restrooms are.

Hi, have not had interview yet but scheduled for 2 week away. I'm the the USC living with fiance in Australia, going to Sydney consulate. I have read on a number of forums that going will make your relationship seem more real, so if you feel that could be your weak area then by all means do it. From what I've also read, you will not get questioned at all, just the benficiary. Being there to provide support may also be a big one. I know my partner is very nervous so me being there will really help her.

Happy to answer more questions after I've had the interview!
