I want to send my Fiancee my old phone. However, I have been trying to find the best way to ship it.

I can mail it by USPS small flat rate box for $32.00 USD. The box size would be like 8 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 2 inches thick.

I'm just wondering if USPS is the best and safest way. Because I don't want the phone to be stolen.

My location:

My husband sent me a brand new phone via USPS and it arrived safe to my country. But you have to find whether will it be safe to be delivered in Philippines. Because things are getting lost not in the US but in the country of the recipient. You can get risk and try.

My package is currently in El Salvador and not the Philippines. Someone didn't know what they're doing when sorting the mail. It was supposed to be El Salvador City which is in the Philippines....

Well there's no zip code! No wonder they couldn't get it right. Your addressing seems pretty simple compared to what I send to.

This Person

Block 26 Lot 15 Phase 1

Elenita Heights

Uray, Mintal

Davao City

Philippines 8000

Or

This Person

This Business

Corner of Quezon and Piapi

White building

Second Floor

Davao City

Philippines 8000

I'm positive its because of the zip code that it gets there!

Good luck on the phone making it, and not being stolen somewhere along the route. I've sent a few myself, but always mixed in with other good I declared. I never dared declare a phone, for fear it would be stolen or massive customs duties would be attached.

I plan to call again on Monday. I was confused by the USPS lady.

So I called asking why the tracking hasn't been updated. She said that she will sent an email to open a case. She asked for my name, address, and the address it was sent to. After I get done providing her all that information, she said the email will be sent to the Philippines for them to investigate it. I said the phone is still in El Salvador and not the Philippines. She just repeated herself saying she sent the email to the Philippines. Then I asked when it'll be sent to the Philippines since customs was cleared. She just said it will be but didn't say when. After that she gave me a case number.

LOL wonderful customer service. I'll send an email to expected destination country, to ask why their tracking doesn't show why a package never made it to them because it was sent to another country.

I have sent an email to USPS.

Here's the reply I got:

"In order to better serve you, your recently submitted inquiry was forwarded to an office that is better suited to address your needs. It is being investigated and you can expect a reply within 2 to 4 business days"

At least I think I am finally getting somewhere.......

I honestly was so shocked that the USPS lady did that with emailing the Philippines.
