G-221

hey everybody

a friend of mine had the interview last tuesday and they gave them the G-221 .

is it a deny ,and what the next step to get another interview .

any help will be appreciated .

Could be a flat out denial. Did they tell your friend this at the interview? G-221 probably has some conditions that he/she may satisfy. This would have been stated at the Interview and written on the G-221. Maybe a document was not presented. Maybe there is something that needs to be done at the Consulate level before the Visa is granted.

they told him that they will sent the case back to uscis,that s all what the officer told him .

I think you are talking about a 221-G. It should be a blue piece of paper. It is not a denial. It is called an "intent to deny" There should have been information about what they want you to prove. You have 60 days if I recall correctly to furnish the information they want and if it is not satified it is turned into a denial and sent back to NVC where you can appeal. If it does go back to NVC you are looking at a long hard process. Dealing with the 221-G at the Embassy level may not be too big a deal.

Quite often it is for failure to prove a realationship and they want more correspondence, phone bills, photos etc.
