Not likely. Contact interviewing embassy/consulate for more information.

It depends on the embassy, but no, immediate visas are pretty much unheard of these days. Count on 2 weeks for the visa to be printed in her passport and then sent to her, if everything goes smoothly.

If she needs her passport for immediate travel after the interview, she can ask for it back, but that will likely delay the processing and approval of the visa, even if they tell her she is approved on the day.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
