There seem to have been a few posts lately about problems getting signatures from beneficiaries on various documents, forgotten items, mistakes that need to have been corrected, etc.

What my fiance and I did was that he printed out his G-325A on his own, filled it in, signed it, and sent it to me with his signatures, his letter of intent, and his passport sized photo.

But, because we were both worried about discovering some kind of mistake or having to include something more, he also included some extra pieces of paper with his signatures on the top or the bottom or in the general area where it would be on a letter. Sure enough, they came in handy when his letter of intent was damaged in the mail. Having the spares made it easy to print a new one.

When we started the K1 process I went overseas to fill out the forms with her before bringing the paperwork back to the US to file the petition. I also had her sign three other "empty" G325A forms just in case we made a mistake on the original.

I like you idea of the signatures in general areas for a letter.

As far as the forms sent by the embassy, there are good copies of them here on VJ. We fill out the DS-230 form and the others over the phone. It's time consuming but it saves another trip back to your fiancee's country. I signed the letter of intent here, mailed my original and her letter of intent to her. She signed the letter when she recieved it.

I'd love to go back, but I'm afraid I'd be to heart broken when I have to come back to the US.

Cool idea, I regret I never did that for my petitioner. :) But I had to fax him a signed addendum to my G-325, which I asked him to also sign with his own hand, all 4 copies. The forms themselves are signed with my original signature. I would think an addendum is not an official doc, would that be ok, what do you say?

I had made a ton of copies and took with me on my first trip to Egypt and had him fill them all out :star: I also got all the other documents I needed from him at that time so the only thing I had to do when I got back home was to stick the petition in the mail.
