My question is for the medical exam is the NOA2 approval hard copy required or can a copy be emailed to the beneficiary? Hard copy would be in for interview since I will be attending as well .

NOA2 is NOT needed at SLEC or for any part of the visa process in the Philippines.

Follow the embassy instructions letter for what is required!

For details on the K-1 process for the Philippines follow the flashing arrow below in my signature.

Copies are fine.

SLEC does not want copies of the NOA2, thte want copies the NVC letter or interview confirmation.

What do I need to bring with me to my K1 Visa Medical Exam?

1. Valid Passport

2. A Photocopy of your Passport Bio page. Same size, not enlarged nor reduced. (I always say bring 2 photocopies just in case)

3. Three (3) pieces 2×2 visa photos (2 for submission to the U.S. Embassy, 1 for SLECs clinic file). Dont forget to put your Full Name, Birthday, Visa Class and Country of Destination at the back with a felt tip pen. SLEC handles not just USA Visa Applicants but other countries as well.

4. Visa Interview Appointment Confirmation Email/Letter (From K1 Visa Interview Scheduling)

5. Two (2) photocopies of your Visa Interview Appointment / Eligibility Letter (If this is not available, See Number 6.)

6. NVC Letter / Confirmation Email (Instructions on NVC and CEAC Status Tracker Country-specific Instructions: Philippines)

7. Two (2) copies of your Confirmation Page (*some have it sent to their emails*) from your Online SLEC Registration

8. Additional documents that may be required of you if applicable. (Annulment / Divorce papers, Immunization records, Old chest x-ray film, etc. Please check SLEC.phs website for more information)

9. Dont forget your K1 Visa Medical Fee Payment! They do not accept checks or credit cards. Its currently at USD $245. This must be paid in Pesos using the days prevailing exchange rate. For updated fees and peso conversion, please check SLECs website.

10. DS-160 Confirmation Page (Part of the New procedure since December 29, 2014)

*NOTE: Beginning 1 October 2014, new fees will be in place. $245 for Adults / $185 for children 14 years and below.*

What if i don't have the NVC letter yet? Is it possible to have my medical. Thank you!

Yes. The requirement is the NVC letter OR the interview confirmation letter/page. Make required copies of either.

What should I bring to my medical examination?

  • DS-260 Confirmation Form (strongly recommended). (for K-1 the form is the DS-160)
  • Appointment letter sent by the National Visa Center or an e-mail confirmation from the Visa Information and Appointment Service.
  • Appropriate medical examination fee.
  • Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
  • Three color pictures (2 inches x 2 inches) with a white background(two are for the visa and one is for the medical report).
