So my fiance will be coming in next Monday (yay!). Our question is what paperwork is needed for immigration? Do they just want his passport and the envelope from the embassy or does he need more? Also just wondering about which paperwork we should keep around if any for the SSN, EAD, and AOS.

Just passport and sealed envelope.

Not sure about SSN.

Keep all documents, you never know what you'll need in the future.

passport and sealed envelope(with original and copy of medical examination and)

only thing that comes to mind is NOA2 "Approval" for I-129F and translation of birth certificate (if in any language other that English) for AOS

Oh, what a day, what a lovely day!

OP - these are not directly connected to immigration but:

- Multiple copies of birth certificate;

- Original of high school diploma (or equivalent);

- Original of college diploma (or equivalent) + transcripts (original or notarised);

- Proof of any additional courses/certifications ... etc.;

- Important medical records (i.e. records of operations, management of chronical diseases, vaccination records);

- International driver's license (if applicable) - for me, in CA, it allowed me to drive while I had my 'temporary permit' (otherwise I would get a learner's permit).

I know, this is super random list and as I said it's not connected directly to immigration; but if your spouse will want to work asap, it's good to have these things handy (I learned that the hard way :) ).
