We got our NOA2 a few weeks ago and our case was forwarded to NVC. Before we send in our IV documents, i am wondering if anyone has had any issues with lack of birth certificate.

I am a Canadian citizen, but I was born in Lebanon and my birth was never officially recorded by parents so i have no birth certificate. The only documents I can provide is an affidavit signed by my mother (father not in the picture) and a Laissez-Passer (United Nations travel document) which has the names and birth year of father, mother, siblings and myself with a family photo (translated to english) and my canadian passport.

The only names on my school records would be my mothers name as my parents are not together and my date of birth. Where would i access these records? do i need to contact the school?

Would this be sufficient evidence? What else can i provide?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I doubt that would be enough. Someone somewhere other than your parents should have record of your birth.
