When do you know your petition is OK? Moscow IR1

I am filing an I-130 in 10 days (OMG)... At the InfoPass appointment they will just look for completeness and eligibility, right?

Basically, I am unsure if I am eligible to DCF. If I am not, will they deny at the InfoPass, or will they accept the form, the payment, and deny later?

I know I have more than enough for bona fide marriage and financial stability, I'm only worried about eligibility.

Also, should I apply for a K3 at the same time? Just in case it takes ages for I-130 and IR2.

If they instruct you to pay $420 after they briefly review your documents, then your petition was accepted. Not sure about residency requirements in Russia for you to qualify for DCF.

In the Philippines so long as the USC has been in the country for at least 6 months and has proof to that effect, the petition gets accepted.

I believe K3 is obsolete?

In Russia there is no minimum time a USC must spend in the country to qualify, it's based only on the documents.. that's my plan.

But that's what I thought: a brief check, and if deemed acceptable, you pay a fee and wait for a review of bona fide marriage, but not your eligibility to apply.

The "InfoPass" is just the process of making your appointment to get you easily through the gate and ahead of walk-ins.

Your appointment is to file your I-130.

If you're illegible they'll except your I-130, 325A's (if applicable) and supporting docs.

Next is to the cashier and then back. They'll give you a receipt and support paper, phone #'s, emails, etc.

If you're not illegible they'll tell you why and send you on your way without having to pay.

When you receive your actual approval of your I-130 then you'll go on-line and file your DS-260 (actual visa application.)

Make your interview appointment, do the medical, prepare your AOS (I-864/'s).

Then at the interview you submit your DS-260 receipt, medical, AOS and ALL supporting docs.

There are several steps for the "interview" the last being the actual interview.

In your case sadly it will probably be the final step, the interview where you will know if your approved or not.
