QUESTION ABOUT DOMINICAN REPUBLIC EMBASSY(for interview)

Im confused.. when i call NVC they say i have to wait for DR Embassy so they can givr me an interview date.(i was also told by the agency i went tthru) but i see some cases that got to do it themselves... what do i have to do.. just wait for my case to be sent to the DR Embassy or whhat? And if i can do my own interview how can i do that ?

*June 29 - PD

*July 2 - NOA 1

*December 2 - NOA 2 Approved

*December 10 - NVC Received

*December 31- Case # & Invoice Over Phone

*January 4 - DS-261 & Paid AOS(120$)

*January 29 - Paid IV(325$)

*February 10 - Sent AOS & IV Documents

*February 16 - SCAN DATE

*March 1 - CASO COMPLETED

*March 9 - Case Complete Email

*March 29 - Interview Sceduled

*April 1- Interview Letter(P4)

*April 19- Husbands Medical

*May 3 - Fingerprints Appointment

*May 10 - Interview Date

APPROVED!!!

*May 13- CEAC Issued

*May 17- Passport Ready for Pick Up

*May 18- Picked Up Passport && Packet

Generally speaking, only K1 schedule their own interviews. Otherwise the NVC or the consulate or embassy will schedule one for you. You have to wait.

Hello. My case was completed by nvc on Feb.16,2016 and I'm still waiting for my interview day in DR Embassy. I'm try to communicate with the embassy but I can't.. what can I do?

En consulado de Santo Domingo te deja esperandoo mucho tiempo pero mi caso estaba completo el dia 7 de enero y estuve esperando dos meses casi por la cita y me desespere y hise la cita yo misma.. Y despuesss que hise la cota me mandaron un email k para seguir con el proceso tengo k hacer la cita yo sola.... Pero si quieres espera hasta k tu caso este en la embajada de santo domingo antes de hacer la cita.. O sono espera a ver si ello te hacen tu cita... Cual quier pregunta me avisan !! Buena suertee

Mi caso esta en la embajada yo quiero comunicarme con ellos para ver como.va mi.caso. estoy bien decesperada ya quiero estar con mi esposo, osea q ellos son los encargados d ponernos la.cita consular?

Yo espere dos mesesss por mi cota y nada k melo hacian casi tres meses !! Y me desespere y hise la cota yo misma.. Llama al consul de RD y hablale aver. Yo tenia a alguien encargada tambn del caso pero luego k llene los papeles y todo la solte y hise todo sola con la ayuda de visajourney.. Y ya tengo mi cota para este dia 23 si dios quiere..

Can you please post when you get your interview, my cases were closed on March 24, 2016 that way I can guess how long they usually take. good luck and I hope you get your interview soon. thanks
