Need a little help and clear up some confusion... We are in the process of filing the I-129 and we are having trouble getting all the child's paperwork together, can we still file w/o all her documents or should be wait? We are in the gathering stages right now, but want to begin to file asap. Is it possible to file for a K-2 visa after we have already filed the K-1 ? or does it have to be at same time?

Thanks

Jon

Hi Jon,

You are filing the I-129 F petition now for a foreign fiance/e. this is different from K1 (and K2) Visa that your fiancee will process in Manila when your I-129F is approved.

Stick to the requirements for I-129F, no need of any supporting docs for your fiancee's child for now. Just include the kid's name on the I129F form (as previously suggested).
