Hello all,

I am currently preparing to file for I-129F. While gathering documents and filling out forms I have a question in regards to my mailing address.

I will be moving to a new address within a month or two, so when I fill in the mailing address, I should fill in the NEW address, is that correct? But the new address is not the same as my Driver's License, does that matter?

Also another similar question. My Fiance is also moving to a new address within two months or three(in China). But she has not found a new place yet so she does not have the new address, can she put the address of close by family member?

I am asking because in case the USCIS or the embassy mail things it will be the right addresses used. And Chinese addresses are hard to translate to English, when I fill out forms, all my fiance's addresses needs to be in English right?

Thanks for the help!

-Michael

If you fill in the new address then the NOA1 and NOA2 hard copies will be mailed to that address even though you haven't moved yet.

Fill in the address you live at at then when you move you can change your address via the link they provide you when you get NOA1.

Welcome to the forum.

The Guangzhou consulate will contact your fiancee via e mail. Regarding addresses on the forms and applications, don't think too much into it, just put in whatever format, i.e., Roman letters or Chinese characters, is asked for on the particular form.

There are many of us here at the forum, that are quite aware of the interesting nuances that can, and do occur when attempting to translate addresses.

在您的移民之旅的好运气。

(Good luck on your immigration journey.)

Will it be easier if I just put the new address now? As we already have the place.

Also, when it asks "Address in the US where your fiance intends to live"

-I would put the new address right? By the time she arrives she will live at the new place, it is OK that the address is not same as my driver's license?

Thanks again Georgia16!

If you already have the place and get mail there then I guess yes you can put that address on. You'll get NOA1 hard copy in the mail about a week after you receive the mail/text (if you include the G-1145)

And yes, because that is the address where she will be living.

If you know it, sure.

So, your DL is not involved.

Also another similar question. My Fiance is also moving to a new address within two months or three(in China). But she has not found a new place yet so she does not have the new address, can she put the address of close by family member?

Sure

I am asking because in case the USCIS or the embassy mail things it will be the right addresses used. And Chinese addresses are hard to translate to English, when I fill out forms, all my fiance's addresses needs to be in English right?

I wrote my wife's address in both English and Cyrllic letters.
