You can apply for citizenship based on the 3 year rule. The earliest you can file is 90 days before the 'Issue Date' on your GC. You can use this calculator: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator

3 years - 90 days from the day you became a permanent resident

OR

3 years from your wedding date

Whichever of the two comes later.

You said that you've been married for 5 years but then you say you got "really got married late".

What does that mean? When did you get married?

I mean late as by age . we were married for 5 years. we were married in 2011.

Ah ok! Got it! Then the wedding date shouldn't affect your eligibility and you can apply 90 days before the 3rd anniversary of the "resident since" date on your green card. So if you became a PR on 12/2014 then you should be able to apply in 09/2017 (as someone else posted) provided you meet the physical presence and continuous residence requirements.
