How long does it take to get Guatemala police certificate?

Hello,

Does anyone have personal experience getting a Guatemalan police certificate and know how long it takes? I know you have to go in person. My hubby is not Guatemalan but we are thinking to get it "just in case" before his interview because they might ask for it since we did spend an extended amount of time there, albeit as tourists. We are wondering if it's provided instantly or if you have to wait a few weeks to get it.

When you say "extended amount of time", how long is that exactly?

If you say you were there as "tourists" and did not actually "live" there then you would not need it.
