I have a question, I have to send my package soon and I have everything they ask for as evidence, even joint taxes filed from 2013 and 2014 , my question is we have decided to filed our taxes NOT jointly because for some odd reason when we try to do it it says we owe over 2000 dollars but if we file separately he owes 200 ( which is decent) and I get money back ...will this be ok? If I don't send the taxes from 2015 I have to send my package in like a week or so ...he has life insurance with me as a beneficiary and tons of evidence of us together, can someone please answer?

Make sure your filing status isn't "Single" or "Head of Household". If yours and his filing status is "Married Filing Separately" then that should be fine. If you file as single or head of household, you are telling the IRS that you two are no longer married as of 2015.

Is it ok if I don't send out the taxes from 2015 but I send out the taxes from 2013 and 2014???

If you files 2015 than you have to send it. Only the most current year tax forms or transcripts are required to send.

If you haven't filed 2015 (You have until April 15) you will send in 2014 and list 2013, 2012.
