hi my mother is applying my older brother to come to America through F2B visa. We had everything filled out and all fees were paid. But we are having trouble to schedule a interview with GUANGZHOU embassy in china.

we tried to call the embassy twice and they told us that the embassy will release some quota for the interview in the future and all we need to do is wait.

but it has been over 3 months. and we still couldn't get it done. the page keeps displaying "There are currently no appointments available". i start to become skeptical about their answer.

1)i wander if any of you have same kind of the problem. how did you solve it?

2)is GUANGZHOU embassy especially slow due to the overwhelmed population in china?

3)or is it the GUANGZHOU embassy doesn't care about the F2B case since it's recently removed from the visa type list?

What is the priority date for your F2-B case? When you sent all the AOS and Supporting documents to the NVC, did you send it by Email or snail mail? Is your case complete at the NVC?

my case has already passed the priority date.

what is AOS? (my travel agent has already sent all of the files back to china for the final interview. i think i am fine on this issue)

on the tracking website, my case is under the administrative processing procedure. the website said the procedure will only take 3 weeks or something but it has been like this for over 6 months.

I'm also in the same boat, I'd also like to know the meaning of Bpb.

Could you please let me know what you found out about it, and how and how long it took you to eventually got a 221g appointment date in the end.
