my wife was worried and call the USCIS to update my to IR-1 so that my green card will arrive for ten years and the officer told her to file for form 1-90 and forward it to them,she was trying to tell to correct it on their system since the card has not been printed and she said we need to file the I-90 form,,just confused right now on what to do,file the form now or wait for the card to come first?please ur help will appreciated

Would help if you had a timeline. Lets get some information from you. So you arrived in US after your 2 year wedding date?

You have paid the $165 green card fee now you are waiting for your green card?

USCIS told you right. They can;t just change online. When you receive your green card if it's incorrect you fill out the I-90 and I would suggest not mail it in but make an INFOPASS appointment and take personally to the local USCIS office.

yes I got my visa after my 25th month's wedding anniversary and POE after my 26th months wedding and I told the CBP officer to update my status but he didn't listen to me, now I have paid and waiting for my green card

Then wait you must for your green card. And follow the instructions i told you if its wrong. That's all you can do.
