I am the US petitioner/my wife is the Canadian beneficiary for our IR-1 visa, which will be processed at the Montreal embassy. We're at the NVC stage and are ready to submit our AOS and IV packages. Since we're going through Montreal and have a MTL case number, we have the option to file via electronic processing.

I just want to confirm: should I send one email for my AOS package (with separate pdf file attachments for the I-864, tax transcripts, etc) and one email for my wife's IV package (with separate attachments for her birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc?

Also, for the separate pdf attachments, I saw another post from 2014 that said the format for each file name should be:MTLXXXXXXXXXX_FirstName_LastName_2014taxtranscript etc. Is that format still up to date, or has NVC revised how they want EP packages submitted?

Thanks for any feedback.

I just completed the NVC stage and am now waiting for my interview date in Montreal. I sent everything via email in just one email. The list you get with requirements, AOS, Birth certificates, etc were all in one email, in the order of the checklist.

Here is a link to what I did and also the link to the us.travel.state site, I followed that exactly, especially in the FAQ section. And all PDF's were named that way with the case #, name and document description.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/547796-may-2015-i130-filer/?p=7970907

I submitted the documents after the DS-260 was completed and submitted per the request of the NVC rep I spoke with. I submitted my docs on a Thursday and the following Wednesday I was at Case Complete. So it pays to pay attention to the instructions and do what they want in the order they request.

Best of luck on speedy processing! :)
