Hey all,

So i'm marrying a Canadian and everything has seemed to be going so well...but now we seem to be stuck waiting for the packet 3. The 660 (NVC) number just says they mailed it, like 3 weeks ago. We have the NOA2 and everything...we filed in Oct of 06...got the NOA2 in January and we are in March...but no packet 3 or anything that comes after that.

Any clues? Actions i can take? ...i'm affraid i'm getting very impatient and just having a ton of pain not having her around.

HELP! :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Only Vancouver and Montreal handle K visas (everything west of a certain province goes to Vancouver and everything east goes to Montreal).

Contact Vancouver with the full NVC case number and ask if they received it and when they mailed it out.

Also, please fill in your timeline. :)

I don't think you're being impatient - I think it's important to know where you are in this stage - even though you can't control it. The instructions (if you can call them that) on the NOA2 say it may take two-to-four weeks to process before sending it to the consulate - you can see on VJ that it happens sooner than that in most cases. After that..it's a DHL (or whatever) shipment to your consulate.

I know I'll be looking to make sure our embassy receives my case. Then can track when they send Karin the packet. And I'm not emailing, I'm calling NVC directly. If they tell me it's already left, then am calling the consulate. =)

Definitely contact Vancouver. They are pretty responsive by email as well.

Canada Post just plain SUCKS and mail sometimes just doesn't arrive. This happened to someone else who didn't get their packet 3. The postal code was wrong. You should have your fiance email them ASAP with the case number, your name and date of birth and her name and date of birth and her mailing address and contact info. In the other person's case, Vancouver ended up emailing them Packet 3.

You should also join us in the Canada forum where almost every thread disintegrates into Flames9 talking about Tim's! :D

I don't miss Tim's yet. I'm the beneficiary and my interview is in 10 days! :)
