Greetings all,

Ok, me and my wife have been waiting since August 2, 2006, and still we have received nothing besides the NOA1 from USCIS. I called and received a reference # and a promise that the CSC would contact us within 45 days with a status update. Well, it has been 16 days so far, and nada. No call, no email.

I really don't understand why I can't seem to find anyone else here with the same situation. Everyone else seems to get their NOA2 much quicker. Some as soon as 2-3 months. Doesn't make sense. What the heck is their problem??

The processing timeline on the USCIS website is just completely untrue. They claim to have completed cases received on August 20, 2006, and that was almost a month ago that they gave this date as the date they were supposedly finished processing!!!!

What the heck is going on here???? :crying: :crying: :crying::angry:  :crying: :crying: :crying:

My question is, are you waiting for the I-130 to be approved, or the I-129F? Your timeline is incomplete so it's hard to guess what is going on. I-130s take a lot longer to get approved, especially by CSC. And as far as the I-129Fs, they can take anywhere from 2-4 months.

CSC is pretty bad though, they said they sent me my NOA1 for the I-130 back in 02/14 and I still haven't received it. So yeah, they suck.

I've been reading posts like this for two and a half years now and it still doesn't make any sense to me how some cases are handled quicker than other. The only think that has come to light is that maybe there are some anomalies that slow cases down or that the reviewers just manage the approval process differently. Claudeth and I wish you the best of luck and hope you are approved soon!

Tom,

USCIS make no such claim. The processing dates on the USCIS website tell you when cases have begun processing, not when cases have completed processing. There's a significant difference.

A 'hit' when checking the beneficiary's name against the various data bases can cause a significant delay in a case, because all hits must be cleared. That's often done fairly easily and quickly, sometimes it can be difficult and time-consuming.
