The best part about Guatemala is....it's climate!! That's why it is called the Land of Eternal Spring

Definitely I love the people! They are very friendly and polite, much like people from North Dakota

I think the hardest thing for my fiancé will be adjusting to how cold it gets here in the wintertime. And the fact that there isn't much to do where I live unless you are willing to drive some ways away.

He says "Oh I like when it's colder" to which I reply "amor you don't know what cold is"

There's differences in process and procedure that he'll have to learn to.

The best part about my country NICARAGUA:

1. My family - I think this will be the hardest thing to leave.. Love them so much, especially my grandma.

2. The food - Nacatamal, baho, vigoron, indio Viejo...

3. The climate - tropical..yes it gets too hot sometimes but is better than too cold (I've been to Boston in winter time)

4. The beaches - I just love them...and everything is cheap!

I think the hardest thing for us(leaving) is leaving our families and a place we've called home so many years. I feel l will love it more once I leave and miss it and realize how special my country is. It will also be hard to speak a foreign language most of the time and not being able to communicate as we do here. It will also be hard once we fight with out husband/wife for any reason and feeling alone.

But all this we do it because we believe in love and follow our hearts!

And the food...although I've been able to make Gallo pinto and tostadas. Working on arroz de la valenciana. And bean soup.

Does your fiancé speak Spanish? I hope you are able to get plugged into the Latino community and utilize video chat so you can still talk to friends and family.
