now its the 8th march (my time zone) is this normal to have had no "touches" since then and now?

Don't look too much into touching. It only means internal processing has been done on your case :)

If you have filed in Cal, then you will wait around 2-4 months for the application approval.. Thats when you will see most touches :)

great thanks for the heads up on the wait period.... i'm keeping it tracked in my diary...

You may want to fill in your timeline on this site. It will give you an idea of when your case will be adjudicated. The dates on this site are more accurate then the dates on uscis.

oh and by the way, welcome to vj ;)

Welcome to VJ! If your case is at California, then you're in for a "tough" wait... Lucky ones are those who filed at Vermont because they get the approvals in 2-3 weeks time after NOA1. As for the "touches" we didn't get touch during the time of waiting... Just hang in there...

At CSC, we usually see an early touch when they cash the check and then nothing for months (BOOOOO). You might get a few touches right before and after you are approved, but that doesnt always happen. Sometimes you dont see anything till you get the approval! Someone (currently FWAguy) does a list of who is approved in each month so when we get closer to Feb approvals (late april/may) check those out to see where approvals are. Welcome to VJ and the worst waiting game EVER!!!!!
