How to Cancel K-1

We are not able to fulfill the process at this time due to finances. IS there a way to cancel formally so tha twhen we are ready to re-apply we don't have a problem.
Will this create a problem for us next time?

Could you give background information on where the case currently is -- USCIS, NVC, Embassy? It usually expires 4 months after your I-129F approval but is extended by the consular officer.

Send a letter of withdrawal to the service center and the consulate that received the approved petition.

Write to the USCIS service center or field office processing your case to withdraw your application or petition.

Do not send your request to a Lockbox facility as your case is no longer with the Lockbox.

I called USCIS they said there is nothing I can do on their end as I was approved. We were approved and have 90 days to set up the interview and medical etc... at the consulate here in the dominican republic , that expires on the 29th of December . I want to know what if anything I ca ndo so I dont hurt my chances if we get married then apply for a spousal visa
