I know i'm supposed to have a return ticket or the airline may not allow me to board the plane. My question is, not knowing how long it will take to get her passport back and completing the CFO seminar, would it be feasible to book my return date beyond the 30 days allowed upon entry without any problems ? She will finish her Medical on the 14th, and if all goes well, i would like to attend the interview on the 22nd. AND, if that goes well, I will stay until I can bring her HOME. Any advice would be welcome, Thanks

I never had issue booking my return beyond the 30 (and 21) day tourist visa. Just make sure to extend your visa if you will be staying longer.

I stayed for two months when I flew over for the interview.

Like I said before, it depend on when you get the visa and no one can predict that so it's a ####### shoot. If you have the time you can buy the return 30 days out but you still face the "when will it come" syndrome.

Buy a ticket to the Philippines with a onward ticket (the onward ticket pick any day you want doesn't matter) to another place close by say HK or Singapore and not use the ticket. When you are ready to fly together then you buy a one way for both of you to the US.

Thanks Hank and Greenbaum, Looks like the onward trash ticket would be best . Just gettin a little nervous. She scheduled a little quicker than I thought for the interview. Has anyone had any problems boarding here in the US with an onward ticket-separate ticket ? Thought I had read the airline wouldn't let you board without Roundtrip ticket.
