Two weeks after interview for K1 Visa, still showing AP in CEAC

I had my interview on November 24, 2015. The consul said "Congratulations! Everything looks good!" So I took my seat and waited for Step 5. The guy in the window just said "You can go home now". So I did. And waited. Until 2 weeks have passed, still no visa. CEAC still showing AP.

Is there anyone here from Manila, Philippines, with K1 visa application, who waited more than 2 weeks before it shows ISSUED in CEAC?

Just to summarize my timeline:

Date of interview: November 24

Case Creation: November 24

Status changed to READY: November 24-December 1

Status changed to AP: December 1, 2015 until today

What could have possibly gone wrong? I was only asked my fiancé's name, if he is still with the same company, and if we have plans for the wedding. I was very positive, and was not all nervous. I am more nervous now that it was past two weeks since the interview than I was DURING the interview.

Should I worry and start calling the embassy?

You are in a normal pattern for the issuance of your visa. If they kept your passport there is a good possibility that you were approved. I wish you had asked the CO if you were approved, then you would have the information you are seeking from others. They are now reviewing your records and with APEC they are little behind. Have a little more patience and soon it will be in your hands. If you haven't received it in another week or two you can call the Embassy but I would wait.

CO congratulated me tok, but I dont have my medical results with me as St Lukes said they will be sending my results to the embassy. (I went through personality assessment and they said they dont give the result to applicants). The girl from St Lukes said it should not cause any delay on my visa processing. She said it will be sent today.

My worry is my son that will turn 21 on January 25. The girl from the embassy (at step 5) that I dont have to do anything but to go home and wait for the visa. She attached a note to our folder that my son will be 21 soon, hopefully that will remind them that the visa is urgent for my boy.

Since we were just approved today, I will be giving St Lukes a call tomorrow to make sure that my result was picked up by 2Go and delivered at the embassy. Wait for a week to see if there is a progress on my visa processing.

*Crossing my fingers that there will be no more further delay as my son still needs to attend CFO. Without the visa, he cant make an appointment.

Thank you all for assuring me.

You're right, Greenbaum. I should've asked. My biggest regret!

Anyway, I checked Visa/passport Tracker from USTraveldocs site. I have been checking this and CEAC site everyday. Since the 24th, the day of my interview, the tracker shows "your passport is still with the U.S. embassy" until today which shows "There is no status update available for the passport number submitted."

What does this mean?

Hi Mydy,

Its me again, me and my children was approved today and one of my childrens medical result is not with USEM at the time of our interview earlier though the consul conngratulated us and said were approved, told by the person in step 5 we can go home and visa will be issued once they have my son's medical when I called st.lukes they said it was transmitted today. I guess we will just have to be patient and wait.

Hi, everything about you and I are the same, my son and I had our interview last Nov 24 Tuesday,we went there without my sons medical result, Nov 25, we got it from SLEC, SLEC said our result will be at the USEm Nov 26. Friday is an American holiday followed by weekend then Monday is a Filipino holiday. They probably working on our visa only Dec 2.

I checked CEAC last Dec 7, Monday... It says it was ISSUED and was updated that day too.

I checked CEAC again awhile ago... It says it was updated yesterday.I was thinking they touched it yesterday. So will just wait.

I also have worries because I have no idea if I was approved or what coz no one told me, I never asked the CO too. He just told me "everything looks good, everything looks fine, you can go now to step 5. Step 5 only told me, "you can go home now"

Have patience... Our visas on our way!

Thanks Hank! Status updated today to ISSUED.

Hi, Heimef, I called the embassy to ask about the USTraveldocs site. They assured me that everything is okay and to just wait for 2Go to contact me.

Best of luck to us!

Do they provide 2Go tracking number too?

You can use your UID # off the interview confirmation to try tracking with 2GO, sometimes it works, other options is trying your MNL#. But give it a couple days before trying as it takes a couple days after issued before the visa package is released to 2GO
