Hi,

I am planning to apply for my minor son's N600 (on green card) once i get my naturalization certificate.

1. I am wondering, if we can apply Passport and N600 at the same time?

2. My son name First name is pretty long which is 18 Characters long. Is there any limit in the number characters that goes on the Certificate of Citizenship?

3. Is Middle names comes on the Certificate of Citizenship?

4. I am only naturalized and my spouse is greencard, please help me to find list of documents to be submitted?

5. Can i fill the N600 by hand writing?

6. Please share your experiences of N600 at Boston office?

Thanks

Chandra

I just got my citizenship and I am skipping the N-600 for my son. I'm just applying for his passport. It will save time and money.

There really is no need for the N-600

One tip is to apply for both the passport book, and the passport CARD for your child.

Someone here recently had her passport stolen years after becoming a citizen as your child is about to, and it was a hassle to go through the process again.

If she had a passport card in her possession, it would have been super easy to get a replacement passport book.

Guys, can I just confirm something here please.

I am about to do the interview and oath (on the 15th) and was told about the N-600 process and the extortionate $600 fee. They have kindly expedited my interview and oath to land on the same day so I am naturalized before my sons 18th birthday on 24th January 2016. So as mentioned above, is it really possible to apply for a passport for my son and NOT complete the N-600? We do have to have his name changed in the local court and get that paperwork before applying for anything but I will have the crucial certificate of citizenship for me that is granted before his birthday.

Thanks :)

Nikki
