Hi All,

I am finally in the US (Woohoo) and married my fiancé however when we got all our documents together for the AOS and the EAD etc and posted this through recorded mail the post office has lost the parcel somewhere in transit

A case has been opened with them and they are investigating as it was tracked to the Chicago depot and then never left.

The issue we have is that we sent in original documents such as the Police Certificate from the UK and my Vaccination records from my medical

Now, the Police cert I have applied for again so that's just annoying but I can't get another copy of the medical. We photocopied it before we sent it in so is a photocopy going to be good enough for the application? Or how do i go about getting another set of documents

Many thanks

James

It's a shame it is lost but what you sent off that you want to recover is not a game ender. The vaccination form you mailed is only a photocopy from Knightsbridge clinic. The original was in the packet you turned in at POE along with the rest of the medical report you were not given a photocopy of. The originals will be matched up with your AOS file so USCIS will have the real vaccination report. They don't need your photocopy.

Your UK police certificate is only for the K1 visa which is over. You do not need it for your greencard or anything else.
