Hi All,

Here is the lastest update on our case, The embassy called my Fiance and requested him to submit medical exam and non conviction letter along with his passport, He submitted that like 10 days ago, Today i was checking his visa and it says

Ready
Immigrant Visa Case Number: XXXXXX AMM Case Creation Date: 11-Jun-2013 Status Updated Date: 02-Dec-2015

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://nvc.state.gov/interview

Does that mean, he will need to go back for an interview and they will issue his visa?

please advice, i am so excited and want to hear the good news .

It means your visa will be issued very soon! Maybe as soon as tomorrow! No, he does not need to go back. It looks like everything is good and his visa will be issued within a few days.

Question, on the top part of that ceac status, does it say immigrant or non immigrant? When it switches from immigrant to non immigrant that is also a very good sign. Congrats!!

It needs to say 'nonimmigrant'. What does your AA# (that you got when you completed your DS-160) say? That should be updated the same date as your NVC case number and there should be two cases created.

When it changes to "Ready" under the NIV subheading, the case creation date also changes to the date it changed to NIV. If your case is still IV with the old/original case creation date, then I don't think this is the same ready that they change it to when it's about to be issued. (At least from our experience and from other threads I have read.)

Since they asked for the additional documents, that's a really positive thing though. You guys didn't have a medical done before the interview?

No, your AA# and NVC case (AMM#) are separate under the K-1, but when the NVC case number is put in "READY" to be issued, both the NVC number and the AA# match. Under the AA#, you will have two links (like the IV cases that have more than one individual included on the petition).

You guys didn't have a medical done before this interview?

My husband also was asked for a non conviction report and he sent it 10 days ago. The consulate spoke to him and told him they will issue the visa afterwards so hopefully that's true! We don't have a status update though.

Let me know what happens!

The AA# says No Status under non immigrant

U.S. Department of State

NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION

No Status
Application ID or Case Number: AA004xxxxx Case Creation Date: 26-Nov-2014

Please contact the U.S. Consular office you believe is responsible for processing your visa application.

Does this indicate anything? this is my first time i check that, i am kind of confused now.. thanks

The medical is good for six months, so you must have had the medical done maybe 4 months ago? Then again, I don't know when your interview was either.

The AA# status means that your "READY" status isn't the same as when a K-1 visa is about to be issued. (The one that goes from AP>Ready>AP>Issued) It doesn't mean that you won't get the visa or that it won't change soon, but the "READY" status you are looking for is the one that says NIV and mirrors your AA#. I'm not sure what this means, but I hope it's a positive sign!

Keep us posted!
