My brother and family had interview last week and co asked for original i864a form signed between me and my wife and told him everything is fine. They will issue visas as soon they get the documents in. I sent the documents and it was delivered yesterday. Now how long they will take to review and issue visas? There status is on ap online. Any answer or help?

I am in a similar position. I think it is 1-2 weeks. I take it you got 221g.

Yes co gave him 221g and only required original signed i864a between me and my wife. I think it's because of we file taxes jointly. I am surprise nvc never asked for it otherwise I would have sent in before.

It is not because you file taxes jointly but I864a is required when your income alone cannot meet the poverty guidelines and other family member's income is added to meet the target. If your income is sufficient, you dont need to submit the same.

My income is more than we need, co just asked for i864a because we file together. They want to make sure my wife knows and responsible too because of household member.

Update. I just checked online the status and it still says ap but the date is changed to today's date. Anyone know what's going on. Do you thinks it's close to be issued?
