Can I reply to NVC checklist instead of waiting for my lawyer to do so?

Hi All...

Is it OK with NVC if we submit documents in reply to a checklist instead of my attorney of record doing it? Anybody has had any experience with this?

Here is why I am asking... We received a checklist last wednesday because our lawyer sent an obsolete i864 form. I... cried and cried and cried, but that helps nothing. So I am reaching out to you guys.

Of course my lawyer sent us an email within minutes of the notification we got from NVC. She told us that their office would get back to us ''sometime this week'' as the holidays were approaching.

It will take such a long time for them to find the will and disposition to fill out the form, then call in my sponsor to sign it and finally, ship it to NVC.

So... anybody has had any experience replying to NVC checklists while having an attorney of record?
