My interview is in two weeks and i just want to make sure i have everything i need and then some.

My fiance and I have not seen each other since filing the petition. i have put together all our correspondence (facebook messenger, skype video log, receipt and pictures of the christmas gift i sent him, whatsapp log). Is that enough or should i get affidavits from both our families affirming that our relationship is still very much ongoing?

My fiance sent me his tax returns, i'm not sure if they are transcripts or not. Some of them he had a company file for him so he has booklets which he sent to me.Each has about 20 pages in it. Are these correct/ok to take tot he interview?

Thanks

Documents showing an online relationship are okay but the more important evidence is the proof of meeting your fiancee face to face. Airline boarding passes, trip expense receipts, pictures! pictures! pictures! If by chance the pictures include him/her with your family, that's even better. Affadavits from family are less important than evidence of face to face meetings. By the way, if you met in another country that is neither of your home countries, then you'll need boarding passes showing both of you arriving in that 3rd country.

He should go online to IRS site and order IRS tax return transcripts, and then email the transcripts to you. Generally these transcripts are 3-5 pages per year, not 20.

Good luck!

Have you met in person before? Pictures of both of you together is very important. This is normally what they would ask you during the interview. The chats, messages, etc are just back up.

Btw, you may browse at this link for very detailed instructions of K1 visa. www.mrspresson.com. She is very good, many people followed her instructions and were approved including myself. She has facebook page too where you can post comments. Search Life As Mrs. Presson

Hi everyone

Sorry i wasn't too clear in my post.

We have met face to face in the past two years. We have been dating just over two years and have been face to face a total of 12 months out of 24 over the last 2 years. We sent ample evidence to the USCIS as we got a RFE because my fiance only included 5 non descript pics of us. I ended up putting together a huge file of us together and emailed it to him to send to USCIS. This included, facebook pictures of the two of us together, with mutual friends and with family for every month we were face to face. We sent in visa stamps of the countries we've been in. We met and dated in korea for 6 months before i left, he visited me South Africa for 5 weeks after 6 months of being apart, i visited him after that for 3 months, then he came back to visit for 5 weeks. So i sent our plane tickets and visa stamps indicating we were in korea at the same time, as we did not keep our boarding passes. We sent plane tickets showing we travelled to Korea, U.S and SA. We sent gym memberships for when he was here visiting me, we sent bank transcripts for when i was there visiting him, ticket stubs for events we went on, etc). After that we were approved.

For the interview, unless i'm reading it incorrectly, it says we must prove ongoing relationship from the time we filed. All of the above was from before we filed. My fiance came to visit in June-July and we filed when he returned to the U.S at the end of July. We have not been face to face since then and only have our online interaction as proof of ongoing relationship since filing in July. I have about 16 pages of online interaction since August, Is that ok or do i need to flesh it out with affidavits from family members and something else.

He should go online to IRS site and order IRS tax return transcripts, and then email the transcripts to you. Generally these transcripts are 3-5 pages per year, not 20.

Good luck!

Thanks i explained this to him but he is adamant that the booklet are his transcripts, because he did not file personally.Last year filed himself and he got that online.

I have just googled it and found out he sent me the wrong things. We have two weeks!!! This so frustrating. This will be the third time he's mailing me, it's so expensive.

1) Is the attachment titled tax sample the one we need?

2)Will they accept the ones he sent (see attachment titled sample error)?

3)If not do they take long to obtain?

4)Can he just email the transcripts?

Thanks

Yes!

2)Will they accept the ones he sent (see attachment titled sample error)?

Probably. The IRS transcript is the best evidence. A copy of his return as prepared by his tax service is okay, just not the best.

3)If not do they take long to obtain?

IRS tax transcripts can be had almost immediately (online) upon registering with the site by showing them proof who he is.

4)Can he just email the transcripts?

If his case allows for email of evidence, then yes. Some cases are handled all by regular mail, others allow for transmission via email.

Thanks
