Hi everyone. Just had my interview earlier at usem they did get my passport and the american consul did not ask any documents. While the filipino consul just ask for birth cert., cenomar, nbi and Mrv slip (which was he returned to me) the american consul ask basic question like where and when did we met and so on. She ask me to proceed to the releasing area. The lady who was assigned there said that may case is under administrative if I did not received any email regarding what documents they needed to me they will soon deliver my passport and visa. My question is why they didnt tell me what are the documents that I have not submitted when they were conducting the interview. So upset today.

They purposely do that so there is not any type of confrontation or delay to explain their position at the window with the applicant. They have a very busy schedule and if they took the time to discuss their needs to complete the processing of your case, or for that matter anyone elses, they would get behind and their would not be time for others who are waiting behind you for their interview. So they send you to "the window" that informs you about your status. For most they get a slip of paper to check their address to insure the delivery of the visa and passport is correct.

If and when you get your 221(g), just follow the directions of what is needed and how to return back to them. If it is something simple you may have your visa a few weeks later. No on can say for sure as we have seen delays like this take 2 weeks, sometimes 30 days and others months.

They did not give any piece of paper on the releasing area. They just told me to wait for any documents they will ask for me to submit and if I do not see any follow up emails regarding the documents my visa might be "deliver".. The st lukes gave me a time frame to be in US when december comes or else I will repeat my medical again..

You'll need to wait for the follow up for additional information request. If they send email it should be there sometime in the next 24-48 hours after your interview. There is nothing you can do now till it arrives. Just sit back and relax. Your putting to much stress on yourself.

The piece of paper that you would have received from the CO upon departure from their window looks like this.

Keep checking your email and SPAM filter, USEM will email a 221g documents request if they have additional documents that are required.

hi, i also had my interview earlier today and i was asked the same documents.. .i am actually wondering why they didnt even bother to ask for the affidavit of support, w2, etc that my fiance has sent me which is also part of the requirements, consul didnt check for any proof of relationship, i am thinking that is probably because they already have a copy of it.. .but i am still a little worried. At the releasing they asked for the BPI receipt (which i never thought they would still need it) and my ds160 which she returned afterwards. They just gave me a piece of paper and i was done.. .i dont know what's next, guess i'll just have to wait for my visa to be delivered.

That is it, many times lately they are not asking for support documents, but you still need to have them in case. Now. Wait for delivery.

We have seen where the financial support documents are not being asked for but the are still on the Embassy Letter as a requirement. I think when they do their yearly update to the Embassy Letter you will no longer see that being asked for and maybe a few more changes.

Sit and wait till you receive documents. Check the websites to follow your case. Use my link below at the twisting arrow for more information to where to check for updates.

...if I did not received any email regarding what documents they needed from me, they would soon deliver my passport and visa.

She said "if."

It's very unlikely that you are going to receive an email asking for anything. Usually, when they want something, they will give you a 221g at the releasing window.

The next thing you're going to receive is a text from 2GO telling you that your visa packet is on the way!

Not no more, stopped doing that some time back. There is no letter given at the releasing window anymore. Only an email is send with the 221g request.
