The NVC Packets are such a pain!

Hello I just have a few quick questions regarding the NVC packets.

  1. After I paid the AOS fee it allowed me to save a barcode sheet. Is this the "Cover Sheet" that everyone is talking about? or is there a different one that comes with the welcome letter that is needed?? How do I assemble these?
  2. If the AOS barcode sheet is the cover sheet can it be used for the IV packet too?
  3. I am self-employed.. I'm worried about proving income... Here is what I have put together. Will it be enough??:
    1. An income ledger displaying all of the dates I got paid by my client with deposit numbers
    2. Matching bank statements with check images
    3. Copies of all of the matching invoices to the checks I received
    4. My General Excise Tax (business) license.
  4. I have included my tax IRS tax transcripts for the past 3 years.. Are tax returns and W2's necessary if I have the transcripts?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

One last question!

Does my wife need both an NBI certificate and a Police Clearance? Which one or both?

Thanks.

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Russia
Timeline

Here's what we did with the cover sheets.

On the very top of the package we placed the bar-coded CHECKLIST sheet that came in the mail. With all the checkboxes checked. This is your main cover sheet.

Then comes the AOS bar-coded sheet (yes, it also has the words cover sheet on it :) ), that you print out from the site after paying the fee. Then our own cover letter, detailing the actual AOS documents in the folder. Then all the AOS documents in the same order that they are listed the checklist. THEN IV bar-coded sheet from the site that you print after the IV fee. Then, our own cover letter for the IV docs. Then IV documents (also in the checklist order).

I am not sure if you can use AOS sheet twice. It DID have different printed text on it, and my guess is that each one verifies its own fees have been paid.

To make sure everything is in order, and to help the reviewer, we went as far as placing little colored tabs on the sides, like AOS, Income docs, Supporting docs, etc (again, using the terms from the checklist).

Got approved without RFEs!
