Hi Guys.

Hope u all r doing well and I wish u all Good luck in ur case.

We got engaged in sep 4th week 2014 and my fiancee filed K1 petition for me in 1st week oct 2014 in Texas service centre. WE got our NOA1 on 13 nov 2014.

My fiancee had gone thru visajourney.com and uscis websites and submitted her papers right.

We waited for about 7 months and finally ..... yippeee.... got our NOA2 approved on 21 June 2015 hardcopy at home in NJ. NOA2 was dated 9 june2015 and 4 months were allotted before our case expires. Basically now the real thing begins.. file sent from TSC to NVC for processsing and then to US consulate in New delhi. As per visajourney.com it takes like 2 months process. Thankfully we called NVC helpline almost everyday for status update. They told us that our case has reached US consulate New delhi on 30 June 2015.

I was waiting for Letter from Us consulate which arrived pretty late by registered mail to my home in new delhi on 26 Aug 2015. I quicky applied for my medical and Police clearance for Usa from ITO passport seva kendra. Medical was pretty easy and they gave me 2 vaccine mandatory for Us immigration.

I filled in DS160 online and after paying the fees of 265 USD.. I was able to pick up appointment date for 15 Sep2015. NOTE.... K1 fiance visa dates are available on few selected dates only every month in New delhi us consulate.. please plan accordingly and try to book at the earliest possible date.

Biometrics was pretty easy in Nehru place Near citibank. I would like to share the Interview procedure as follows....

I arrived at 8 am at Us embassy exit 6. Chanakyapuri at 8 am with docs. Appointment was at 8.30. There is no parking facility availability there.and delhi weather was scorching hot. After initial seciurity check they lemme through and asked to follow red line on floor to the entrance. One guy checked my docs and asked me to go straight to K1/k3/family visa line. I waited for an hour and then 1 guy collected my papers and stapled them in order.. which I had already arranged beforehand. Then I was called for biometrics and they gave me a coupon no. Then afyer waiti g for another 30 mins my coupon was called and the officer took all my papers and attached it into the file.. which was sent by NVC from Usa. She asked me my profession and whether I was married or not.?

Then afyer waiting for another 2 hrs my coupon was called for final interview. There were only 2 officers on different windows for k1k3 and family visa interview. I saw people giving interview to them and in some cases the interviewer was rude and I could feel that the officer was asking way too many questions to other candidates of k1k3and fanily visa.

My turn arrived. She was American Indian officer. I was asked to raise my hand and take oath to tell the truth.... which I did.hahaha. then she begab asking me questions...

My name. My fiancee name.. why u want to get married in usa.. why not in india.. what about ur relatives in usa... Wont they be able to attend the wedding in usa.. if not then what r u doing for them... when is ur marriage... show the proof... where is ur fiancee.. what she do for liv8ng...where she stays..show the prrof od engagement. .. show the prrof of meetings in between engagemwnt n interview.

THE OFFICER WAS VERY RUDE AND SHE LITERALLY DRILLED ME... OMg... she stopped me many times in between and asked to be specific in answers to the point. . No stories please.... At one point I was be coming angry and wanted to shout... but I kept myself calm...She was not listening to me at all. SHE was interrogating like a police officer. My interview was from 10.50 am to 11 30 am... Finally she said my visa is APPROVED and gave a yellow page which said that I can collect my passport after 5 workibg days... Thank GoD ...

The story doesnt end here. Our petition was about to expire on 8 Oct 2015. And after interview I called helplibe no. And and checked my passport status everyday on website.. it said.. UR PASSPORT IS STILL WITH THE CONSULATE. After waiting for more than 10 working days we received email that OUR CASE IS ON HOLD UNDER ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING UNDER 221G.....OMG... we were shocked to see this. I called the helpline no. And the officer said that we have to wait for atleast 60 days before we can do anything. We were broken. Felt sad .....

After APPROVED condition .. our visa wentfor further security check. Lemme tell u guys 221g comes under visa denial category.

Guess what.... By Gods grace our visa got approved and came clear out of adminstrative processing. And the passport was sent to visa collection centre on 1 Oct 2015..

Advice..Please prepare thoroughly ur case and study in detail before attending interview.

Book ur interview appointment ASAP after u get letter from consulate.

Paper work should be correct amd go through all of it thoroughly.

Believe in GOD..

Hi N tomer..

Well why u wanna get married.. This is tricky question. If they get to know from ur answers to any question that u r having an affair just for Green card. U r in trouble dear....

Be truthful to them. Tell them how u guys met and if u r having an arranged marriage then ur parents r involved in this process. May be show them email or chatting records between parents. U can say that u have a job elsewhere and ur fiancee was not comfortable in moving with u outside USa.

Regarding relatives u can say that they wud be attending the wedding. And for relatives from india u have arranged a reception party later.

Regarding proof of marriage show them the bills paid for making marriage arrangements maybe marraige hall bills etc.

They might ask u phone nos of people present in engagenwnt and call them to verify ur engagement. U shd know everything about ur fiance.. His/her pho e no... address... company name... job position... nature of job.. wen did she came to usa.. names of hisher relatives... car he drives... etc

If at any point they have doubt on ur engagement ... boom ... they can reject ur visa..

Moreover 221g ... administrative processing. .. Be sure u dont fall in that category..

That Visa officer rejected 2 cases of K3 visa in front of my eyes.. The applicants were crying..

Be prepared. WISH U GOOD LUCK.!

I am American male and my fiancé is Indian female. She was informing me that the culture in India looks down on women marrying foreigners especially through love marriage. When I was in India many people were curious or angry or confused on seeing us together. Will the people at the consulate in dheli be angry towards my fiancé for being a female getting married to a foreign male??

has anyone else experienced difficulties marrying Indian women?

Hi Landl..

Well people r like that. U guys shd not worry abt people reaction in India.

Visa officers in New delhi Us consulate are mostly Indian Americans. So chances are that u guys have to prove ur relationship in a much more detailed way.

U r right its uncommon that a white guy and an indian lady r in love. What I mean is that there have been many fraudulent cases of marriage and engagement involving white guys n women.... just for the sake of green card business.

Hope u understand. Moreover it wud be better if ur parents from both sides r involved in ur relationship. It wud make ur case stronger.

Please read my post again and u will find all the necessary docs needed to prove ur relationship.

There r chances that visa officer might drill your fiancee. So be prepared to defend and prove ur relationship.

Wish u all the best!

Hi --

How long it will take to get password back from US embassy Delhi.

after 7 days of interview today they have changed the status and saying that Administrative Processing

how much did they take to give you passport after interview ?

this is the message I can see there

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

Her mother approves but her uncles do not and her father is deceased. She is 26 so she doesn't need her uncles permission anyway. My parents are happy about us getting married in the U.S.

Will the consulate in new dheli require her uncles permission??

Hi ntomer...

See I told u. If ur fiancees case uas been flagged under some points related to security. Then they might send ur case for further evaluation and security check to Washington dc.

Same thing happened with me too. U shd call Us consulate in delhi and ask them whT exactly does this mean and if u dont receive any firm reply from them. U can email them ur query.

u shd then receive some email from USCIS about status of ur case. Bottomline is u cant do anything and just wait for maximum of 60 days from ur interview date.

Wish u Good Luck. !

Hi Landl...

Great. USCIS does not need Uncles permission. But if he is her guardian then it might be better to take his permission.

U shd show some emails... telephone records.... pictures together of both families. Including ur parents and her mother atleast.

More the no. Of people involved in ur engagement more chances of visa approval.

Moreover u shd make arrangements for marriage and give ur fiancee the necessary docs like marriage invitation card .. booking of marriage hall.. etc for her interview.

If u r sponsoring heru need letter of sponsorship attested by notary.

Basically ur fiancee has to prove that u both r in love for long time... have met atleast twice before interview... reason for moving to Usa.... why not marry in India.. and engagement shd look real. U need phone records.. skype face time tango..watsapp records..

Hope this should suffice.

Good luck!

And dont forget to tell us ur story.

Great, we want to get married first and then do ceremony once we save up money so we won't have any big grand wedding planned at the time of interview. I have all the other items.

We haven't filed yet, we are now gathering the necessary things for sending fiancé visa package.
