I left that part blank, because I wasn't sure what number that was. If the A# is on the NOA2, then they have a copy of that. It was signed for in Chicagon on 2/21/2007 and they havent cashed the check yet nor did I receive the Notice of Approval yet. What is taking so long?

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

You are unlikely to get approval so soon.... you will get a NOA (Notice of Action) once they have checked your papers to ensure it is complete... can take anything from 2 weeks to a month... if you are impatient now then you are in for a very long journey....

They will either add it for you or issue an RFE. Not a big deal.

I've read several posts on here about the A#, some people said it was on the Visa and some say it is on the NOA2.

I found the one on the NOA2, but it is a nine digit number not 8 like people wrote. There isn't an A# on the K1 visa under my wife's picture.

t,

No RFE. They may assign new A#s to the different cases - many people get 2 (or more) A#s as they go through the process. Multiple A#s will be consolidated with adjustment of status, with the A# on the Green Card being the 'final answer'.

t&s,

Not all consulates put the A# on the visa. The information you get about that from different people will depend on which consulate each person dealt with.

The Service Centers generally do put the A# on the Approval Notice, and Vermont often puts it on the Receipt Notice.

When the A# is 9 digits the leading digit should be a 0 - is that the case with your A#?

Yodrak

I've read several posts on here about the A#, some people said it was on the Visa and some say it is on the NOA2.

Hers does not start with a zero. This is from Bogota. Perhaps they just know to add it. It has not been an issue yet. Also her EAD only has eight.
