Hello,

I have a question, hopefully someone can shed some light on it. Okay, my husband is living in Fl right now and I am up in OH going to school. I won't be moving down there until December. Are we still able to file jointly because of the fact we are married even though we are not in same location. We applied for immigration in Cleveland, OH, green card pending. Any ideas anyone?

Since you are married and there is no mention of dependents, yes, you are eligible for the Married Filing Jointly status even if you live apart from each other.

Hello Maria,

Sorry about the delayed reply but we have the address the USCIS has is mine in Ohio. He's finishing up getting his license, has his bank address there, and has a drivers's license there. Its where we met. He married me here where I live though. I was trying to do taxes and was confused by permanent address. I hate taxes soo much, thought filing single was hard; joint is a nightmare.... Any suggestions?
