Timeline

me and my fiance are bout to gather everything together for our petition.

he is in the US military and wondered if there is anything extra we need to do or add to petition? or mayb something he would have to provide at a later date that could take a while to come thru??

also we have only been together 7-8 months, will this go against us wen they look at petition?? :unsure:

03/29/2007 - sent petition I129F

04/02/2007 - recieved at TSC

04/06/2007 - NOA1 issued

04/12/2007 - check cashed

04/14/2007 - NOA1 letter recieved

04/14/2007 - touched

06/07/2007 - touched (change of address)

06/08/2007 - touched (change of address)

06/10/2007 - touched (change of address)

06/15/2007 - touched due to phonecalls to csc.

06/16/2007 - another touch due to phonecalls on 15th!!!

07/25/2007 - APPROVED!!!!!!

08/06/2007 - NVC recieved

08/11/2007 - letter received from NVC saying send to London within a week

08/13/2007 - London recieves petition and sends out Packet 3

08/16/2007 - recieved and sent back packet 3

09/06/2007 - medical!!

09/12/2007 - INTERVIEW

09/18/2007 - Additional papers collected by courier

09/26/2007 - Visas delivered by courier!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!

Just file the application as anyone else. There is no difference to non-military people (my husband is in the military too). The only thing you might be able to do is to apply for expedition in case he has an order to a deployment.

As for length of relationship, I think 7-8 months would look just fine :) as long as you two are fully committed and ready to get married! You just need to prove that to the immigration people hehehe.. :) Good luck!

As its not a really long time of you being together, it won't really affect anything just make sure you include plenty of proof of your relationship. Photos together, plane tickets, those sorts of things.

i have flight itinararies but disgarded most of boarding passes, as didnt really think that we would need them for anything, as didnt expect him to b leaving germany just yet!!! just a taste of armylife there for me!!!! lol

we planned to marry but neither of us realised things were goin to be quite like this!! naive i guess.

wen he leaves i will have seen him 4 times on my own for long wkends and 2 times with kids (1 a 3 week hol at xmas and the other 1 week at half term) so not as if we not seen alot of eachother. mayb in some cases more than others have been able too.

we have a few pics (goin to try and get more in comin weeks) also receipt for the ring and payment slips on my wedding dress. we also have a venue all set up too.
