K1 visa Ds 160 submission

Is there any reason after completing the DS160, that the beneficiary has to be the one to hit the summit button even after it was done with the help of both petitioner and beneficiary.

Aside from it being the law? None.

Other people can assist you with your visa application. Note that under U.S. law (22 C.F.R. 41.103) you must electronically sign and submit your own application unless you qualify for an exemption. Even if someone else helped you complete the application, you (the applicant) must click the “Sign Application” button, or your application may not be accepted.

Anyone can help you fill it out, but the benificary MUST submit it..by clicking the submit button it is the same as their "signature".
