My now husband was divorced too and when he filed my I-129F petition, he didn't fill out this information because he didn't remember and he didn't ask to his ex-wife and we didn't receive a RFE. So, don't worry if you don't know this Alien ID and date of filing.

02-24-2015 (day 6 ): NOA 1


03-17-2015 (day 21): NOA 2


05-08-2015 (day 52): Interview (Approved) :yes:


05-16-2015 (day 60): Visa in hand


06-19-2015 (day 91): US entry :dance:


08-22-2015: Marriage :wub:



AOS - EAD - AP



09-12-2015 (day 0): AOS, EAD and AP sent


09-15-2015 (day 3): Package delivered and received

This serves as a reminder to us all. to KEEP information!

A long time ago I tossed out divorce docs I assumed I would never need again in my life, but of course I ended up needing them now. I had to pay for a hand search though boxes of old stored files from back before computers. If I had known the case number, the documents would have been easy to find, since the boxes were labeled by numbers, not names.

NVC Received : 2015-03-09

Received DS-261 / AOS Bill : 2015-03-20

Pay AOS Bill : 2015-03-28

Send AOS Package : 2015-04-28

Submit DS-261 : 2015-04-25

Receive IV Bill : 2015-04-14

Pay IV Bill : 2015-04-22

Send IV Package : 2015-04-28

Scanned date: 2015-04-28

Check list : 2015-06-07

Check list scanned: 2015-06-10

Sent to Supervisor 49 days after scanned: 2015-07-28

Visa was ready for pick up November 3rd in the afternoon

VISA IN HAND! THANK YOU GOD!

I also left it "unknown" for the A#. I knew roughly when we applied (we were an AOS from VWP, which we subsequently abandoned to move back together to the UK), but I had no clue about the A#. I asked my ex and he said he had no clue either, since we'd abandoned the process 10 years prior. No problems leaving it unknown. I wouldn't bust a gut over this.
