Nuevaring is my number one choice for BC. Don't feel it and not something I have to remember every day. Back to the OP, I would go either way. Sex is not the main reason to go for me. I would rather have time with him than no time at all.

I would be carefull about the BC pill though. Jonny came to visit in November and I:

1. Wanted birth control.
   
2. Wanted to keep shark week away.
   

I took 2 packs of pills back to back starting in early October. As we got close to November... HELLO THERE AUNT FLO! my periods are so irregular, I won't have one for years and when I finally get one... it's a long one. He was here for 10 days in November. She came late October and stayed till early December. I had forgotten about the fact that I might still get a period after the first pack of pills anyway. Didn't stop us of course, just kept a towel handy

I would say, if you are going to stack your pills (or NuvaRing, I have one now and I love it!) like that, give it longer than 2 months so your body is used to it already.

my gynecologist last year had me start taking them couple months before meeting my husband to be because I had never taking them before ...it worked great ...the day of our wedding ceremony I had my periods I took care of that buy skipping the white pills ...guess what I wasn t sure after wich one to take any more ? go with white to get my periods or finish the new ones I had started it was confusing..........
