Hello,

We received the NOA1 and when I go to uscis.gov and type in our receipt number (EACXXXXXXXXXX)it states the number is invalid. We also never received a text or email even though we filled out the G-1145. Is there something wrong with our case or is it just a glitch on the USCIS website?

This is normal, the number you will need to check your case status online is going to be on the biometrics letter, not the NOA1.

Please reread the NOA letter carefully. It states right on it that the case number you have to use is not the one listed on the letter.

Also, text/email notifications are spotty at best. Some people receive all of them in a timely manner, some people receive some, while others receive none at all. Who knows why this is?
