Dear All,

I have been on AP since last month due to delayed police record from Africa 20yrs ago. Police record submitted last day of the month but missed allocated visa and was advised by CO that I will hear from them about 14th Sept. The last update was on 2nd Sept. Any advice from anyone that experience the same? Or what are my chances for AF visa to be issued? Thanks for all your response.

So, as the officer said you lost your allocated visa number as you couldn't compete the case in the month of interview. I guess the 14th is the last date they interview and they will know then if they have spare visas from other cases that were denied outright or no-shows for interview. My guess is you'll have a good chance, but it will be a stressful time waiting. Good luck and please let us know the outcome!

Upkilo, I really hope your case gets resolved soon.

But this is AP for missing documents which is different - it's basically fixed as soon as the missing doc is there - so now it just awaits a visa number to be available. But this is why it is so important to follow the instructions about documents very carefully.

Hi there Blessed137, me and my wife are also waiting for a new visa number to be allocated to us after a long AP status. I noticed that you're from the UK. Did you have your interview in London? I've been trying to contact the Embassy for months and the only way I can get information is via email. I never got that answer regarding the 14th of September, if you can confirm that you interviewed in London it will give me extra hope!

Many thanks and I wish you the best of luck, from a fellow anxious applicant :)

Yes I interviewed in London and they received my document on Friday 28th but said due to the bank holiday Monday the visa cannot be issued cos it needs to be printed next day. This was a phonecall from them. Let's continue to pray with THANKSGIVING so that we will have visa allocated to us IJN ??
