A Little Help Please...

I'm looking for a website on the basics of Islamic beliefs, as well as history. Preferably like an "Islam for Dummies" book, but in website form. I'm needing to do a little extra research for school.

Can anyone here suggest such a place? I could keep trying Google but I'm getting a lot of everything and starting to feel a bit overwhelmed.

A very good academic source for Islam and its history is anything by John L Esposito. Great books by a non-muslim ..you might want to google and see what writings of his are online.

A great, simple book for learning basics of Islam is "Teach Yourself Islam" by Ruqayya Maqsood.
