Argh! That is so ridiculous. It's actually really unprofessional of them, honestly. Actually, that is a good idea to have an appointment. I have no idea what they will do but it's the fact you're able to get up and go somewhere in person and maybe change something?!

Also, apparently NVC received my case today! They even gave me my case # and invoice #. They said I have to wait 28 days for them to send some "welcome packet". Now, we need to get you to that spot!!!! :D

@mrsawakened. So they finally respond to my inquiry not that it matters. They say cant go forward with my case until background checks are complete and if i dont get a response back in 6 months from receiving this message for me to call. I read somewhere that it takes 2-1/2 months at least for them to get back to you in regards to the background check. It supposedly takes those who file their k-1 petition at tsc 6-7 months for a response whether it be an rfe, approval, or dissaproval. It would not surprise me if they surpassed that 6 months and their response on top of that be either denial or an rfe. Doesnt matter anymore as you know im leaving in a few months anyway its entertainment for me lol. Hows things on your end?

I got a message the next morning saying sorry cant expedite your case you dont fall under following requirements below for expedition. That officer said someone is working on my case and i should get a decision by the end of the month. I dont believe it at all because the last tier 2 officer i spoke to said that is not true no one is working on my case at all he can see that no one is working on it. Im getting smoke blown up my ### from everyone. Today is now 9 months since they received my case and i got a receipt number. They are in no rush at all, which is ok because im leaving anyway theyre not going to stop us from being with each other.

What is the latest with you guys?

Did you talk to your Senator? This sound ridiculous even for USCIS. Nine months is beyond incompetant. Also I'm not exaclty sure how it works but some people file FROM the foreign country and the application gets approved quickly. (the NOA2) There is a forum topic somewhere on here about it.

I'm not sure if you'd need to cancel this application or what. Might be worth looking in to, (or having a consult with a lawyer about) since this route isn't working well for you. That said, if you can live with her until they are done f' ing around with you then you have at least been together.

Really this is unbelievable-my heart goes out to you two. But don't let them get to you. To say they are trying to keep you apart is really giving them too much credit (that would require both thought and planning). They are just a big, souless government black hole is space. Nothing more.
