I believe. she is on her way as we speak to do Medical (so today and tomorrow) anyone see a problem with getting this done and making the Interview on Friday? its been a loooong 8 1/2 months (waiting on NOA2)and we are fine with the rushed process. any reason or problems anyone see with this? i checked status at NVC and it says "in Transit"

any feedback is welcome. thanks everyone!!!

You'll receive your medical packet in hand and hand carry it to the interview. If there is something SLEC sends electronically and they don't have it at interview time then they will just wait in AP until USEM gets it.

The problem is that will the embassy have your packet and be ready for you to interview by then? Just because you paid online and scheduled, the site does not say you are ready to schedule for interview it stills says in transit.

Congrats on the early interview date!

Just be sure your fiance goes to Saint Lukes Medical Center early in the morning, she'll be glad she did as I believe it's first come first served. One can sometimes also go to the CFO seminar after the interview (if the interview ends early enough), and kill 2 birds with 1 stone, but most people wait until they have their passport back. Check the CFO site for times and details.

Most times, the applicant is given her medical results to take to their interview.

When she completes the medical and there are no issues, then they will release the medical exam results at the end of her exam (2nd day after vaccinations) in a packet for her to bring to the interview. If for some reason the exam cannot be documented and released to her, and must travel on its own, then the worse that can happen is you receive a 221(g), pending the results of the medical. It would be a short delay, maybe 2-3 weeks but hey.... you were going to have to wait for a date to open on the interview schedule just the same. Same thing with the file in transit. If it doesn't arrive in time, then 221(G). Just be really prepared for the interview and that will help.

For the interview, make sure you have the Embassy Letter as your check list of documents needed for the interview. More details in my link below at the twisting arrow.

That is SOP with a fiancé that is annulled. She will sit with a Psychologist and explain what happened in her marriage. They are looking to be sure she is stable and no problems still linger. Just tell her to go, and be positive about her life and her future. Explain that she needs to be honest and look the Dr. in the eye when answering. Don't go into a long story, and keep to the facts. Don't bring something up to the Dr. unless she is asked by the Dr..

Most of all, let sleeping dogs "lie"!!!

does she still go to interview on this Friday?

Yes she can still go. You just explain to the CO at the Embassy that you have the Psychologist meeting and they will issue a 221(g) at the end of the interview. Once they get the final medical then they will review it and at the end of the review, a decision will be forthright.

Or, you cancel your appointment and reschedule, but for when. There is no standard timeframe to which to work from. So it's Las Vegas odds. Besides, you can cancel twice, then it's penalty; pay the interview fee again AND wait 90 days to reschedule.

we went ahead and rescheduled the interview for Sept 21st. Greenbaum was correct that they open a bunch of dates in Sept. Oct and Nov are not open for scheduling yet. figure rescheduling is faster than waiting on the 221g to be processed.

Yep they can takes months to process 221g even for something simple...really at the bottom of their priorities. Smart move.

I can tell your stress level has just dropped 60 pts. :joy: Now you can relax and finish everything in preparation for the interview. Good luck to you both.
