Stapled or paper-clipped I-134

Hi everyone!

So for my I-129F, I paper-clipped the relevant sections as people on here suggested and had no issues with the USCIS. Did you do the same for when you submitted the I-134 during the embassy interview? Just wondering if the embassy had a preference, stapled or paper-clipped?

The embassy absolutley requires that all of the documents are placed into a small plastic bag and then stapled shut. The embassy is in the Philippines after all. All kidding aside, I think as long as you have the information that is required you will be fine.

In preparing your packet, please take note of the following:

•Do not use binders or folders that cannot be easily disassembled.

•Use Clip fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions.

•The use of tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. The tabs should be placed on the bottom and not the side for ease in filing.

•Avoid using staples; instead use clip fasteners or paperclips.

•Avoid submitting originals unless specifically required. Avoid submitting oversized documentation when possible.

•If you are sending more than one case in an envelope, clearly separate the cases by rubber band or clip fasteners.

Where did you find those guidelines? I disobeyed all that pertained and my wife and daughter still got their visas, haha.

And remember all the ####### you went through to get to that point and all you would have done to avoid that is to put the paperclip on your documents properly. Now go sit down.

Use ACCO fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated. Exception: Petitions filed at the Chicago lockbox should use paperclips when attaching supporting personal documents to forms instead of ACCO fasteners; staples are acceptable when attaching
