Greetings to all,

Hi. I am John from New Delhi and my wife is in Washington DC. We married in March 2014. Applied for IR1/CR1 visa and our case is received by NVC.

My birth is Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh, a state in India) and I lived there 20 years. Since last 10 years I've been living in Delhi (a state in India).

My questions are :

Que 1 : After NVC has 'accepted the case', what will be the average time to transfer file from NVC to Delhi embassy ?

Que 2 : What will be the average time to get interview date after file is received by Delhi embassy ?

Que 3 : My first passport was issued from Uttar Pradesh and after its expiration, it was re-issued from New Delhi. This current passport is issued since more than 2 years. Apart from PCC from regional passport office Delhi where my last passport issued :

A : Is PCC required from local police Station from Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh , a state in India) ?
B : Is PCC required from local than from Delhi (a state in India) ?

Que 4 : How long does interview take and what are the questionnaires ?

Que 5 : What will be the average time to get the passport back after the interview ?

Que 6: Is there an option to self-collect the passport from the embassy rather than depending on courier service ?

Que 6: Is there an option to self-collect the passport from the embassy rather than depending on courier service ?

Que 1 : After NVC has 'accepted the case', what will be the average time to transfer file from NVC to Delhi embassy ? Your Petition stays at NVC until it is assigned an Interview date. New Delhi I am afraid is about a 3 to 4 month wait after you get Case Complete

Que 2 : What will be the average time to get interview date after file is received by Delhi embassy ? See above answer

You need a PCC for your country not every city. So one is fine. Go where you live and get one. If you ever lived out of India since age 16 you will need one from that country also.

B : Is PCC required from local than from Delhi (a state in India) ?

Que 4 : How long does interview take and what are the questionnaires ? It takes as long as it takes. You get there in morning you could be there a few hours. Look at the guides at basic interview questions. Also go to your countries embassy reviews and see what others wrote many write the questions they were asked. Every interview is different just know each other.

Que 5 : What will be the average time to get the passport back after the interview ? Look at the info page of your embassy (click portal and New Delhi all info is there.

Que 6: Is there an option to self-collect the passport from the embassy rather than depending on courier service ? Look at the info page of your embassy (click portal and New Delhi all info is there.
