Hi everyone,

I tried a search, but couldn't find anything, I know this has been discussed before. My papers were mailed out of NVC Tuesday nite going to Amman, now just curious how to track to see that the pouch arrived. I know there's a way to, but I forgot :(

Can anyone direct me?

thanks

DHL delivers the petitions to the embassy - there's a way to call the NVC to find out the tracking number of the group of petitions sent out on a particular day. You then go to the DHL website with that tracking number and that should show whether it arrived safely - or not. :)

"NVC receives thousands of telephone and written inquiries from applicants, petitioners, congressional offices, U.S. embassies and consulates, CIS offices and the White House. An automated recorded message system can answer many of these inquiries 24 hours a day, seven days a week (603 334-0700). Operators are available to respond to more difficult inquiries from 7:30 AM to 12:30 AM (EST) Monday through Friday. Status of case information and access to an operator can only be provided by entering your NVC case number or CIS receipt number on a touch-tone telephone. Case inquiries can also be made via email at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. NVC only has information on petitions it has received. If our automated service does not recognize the CIS file or receipt numbers you entered, most likely we have not yet received your petition."

Its my understanding the K-1 are not on the automatic system, i always talked to a person and got my information, first they gave me the case number, another day they told me it had left, then the next they confirmed the day it left, but could not give me a tracking number to follow thru with. From what i have heard this tracking system at one time worked that i bumped up but for now the ones of us tht tried could not get it to work. I did get a email in answer to one i had sent, also i got a answer (email) from Casa in reguards to one i sent asking if they had rec'd his file, which they had.

GO to DHL Worldwide Express website http://www.dhl.com

Select USA

A new page will open

At the top highlight tracking and click on "TRACK BY REFERENCE"

In the Reference field type "CORRESPONDENCE"

For the Shipment date you should select a day before and after the date NVC said they sent your file.

Customer number leave blank

Origin Postal code should be "03801"

Then Click Track

Of course it works...what exactly are you having a problem with? Just follow the instructions - you will see a list of shipments from New Hampshire going to all the different embassies. Find your embassy and you can be sure your petition is in that shipment.

How were you able to check that your app arrived at Casa? I called NVC and asked them about a I-730 link, they did not know what I was talking about.
